Byron Lutes, P.Eng
President
Mr. Lutes was appointed
President of Mancal Energy
in May 2018. Mr. Lutes
worked previously at Mancal
Energy for five years from
2003 to 2007 as Vice
President, Operations. Mr.
Lutes has over 30 years of
industry experience of which
25 years have been in senior
positions including
President & CEO and Vice
President roles in
Engineering, Marketing,
Business Development and
Operations. Mr. Lutes has
held roles with Koch
Industries, Southern Pacific
Resource Corp., Hunt Oil,
Newport Petroleum and Suncor
Energy. Mr. Lutes has been
an active member of the
Canadian Association of
Petroleum Producers (CAPP)
for over 20 years and is
currently serving on the
Executive Committee of the
Board of Governors and as
Chair of the Audit
Committee. Mr. Lutes
graduated from the
University of Calgary with a
Bachelor of Science in
Chemical and Petroleum
Engineering. Mr. Lutes is a
member of APEGA.
